Fifteen years ago, Dr. Combs went to Haiti for the first time with the Haiti Endowment Fund to address some of the horrible medical needs that the Bither’s were witnessing in the Hinche area. He immediately became passionate about building a medical ministry to try to offer some consistency of care to the Haitians in this area that was almost completely without medical care. Since that time Walt has led dozens of medical teams, holding clinics on the compound and mobile clinics in the surrounding bush villages. Through this medical aid and the feeding program, HEF has seen a great improvement in the health of those living in this area. Dr. Combs has also been working to support Haitian medical students to serve their own people in the future.
