Building Schools

Our Christian Schools in Hinche and the surrounding villages have been a real success. Before this ministry started there were no schools available to the thousands of children living in the villages surrounding Hinche. Haiti Endowment is thrilled to report that we now have twelve schools thriving in this area, where over 3,000 children attend five days per week. More new students are added on a regular basis.

This program has blossomed under the wonderful direction of Marie Berson. She oversees the entire school network and teacher training. Classes are provided for children from 1st to 6th grades. The students learn the basic reading, writing and math. In addition, they are taught a Christian perspective of history and God’s redemptive plan. Each school year runs five days per week for nine months a year. All of the school students receive a hot meal, often the only hot meal they eat each day.

Haiti Endowment
Believes that the school program is an essential part of transforming this struggling people into a self-reliant people who can learn how to provide food and a stable government for themselves. At the same time they are introduced and guided into the loving arms of a God who cares for them.

The need for supplies, food and classrooms is enormous. The government of Haiti doesn't supply anything for the people of central Haiti. Your help through donations, is the power to change a nation.
