Cindy led a team of 30 to Haiti, mostly compiled of students, chaperones and school leadership from Calvary Murrieta High School.

The team’s main objective was to work in several of the Haitian schools teaching ESL. It was a great week with the students doing various outreach projects such as teaching ESL, assisting with the building of a water catchment tank, hosting a youth festival on the compound, and visiting an orphanage.

Kim Joos worked with our agriculture manager, Sol, and hosted an agriculture workshop on the compound for several people from the village of Savanette. The workshop was instrumental in teaching and laying the groundwork for planting a church garden in Savanette. After attending the Sunday service in Savanette where the pastor dedicated the garden to the Lord, Kim and several helpers worked for several days and completed the garden.

Our team was doubly blessed to host a small team of YWAMers from JusticeWater. They were able to build water-catchment tanks in the villages of Papaye and Laby.
