Our Compound

The HEF Compound

Soon after God directed HEF to Hinche, Haiti, we were given the opportunity to purchase a parcel of land. As God has blessed by providing the funds, our property has grown to a twenty-five acre compound and is the base to a growing ministry to many of the surrounding villages. In 2007 we completed our new guesthouse that can accommodate 28 visiting team members at a time.

Our compound has been built, one structure at a time, as demand and resources have been made available. We also have a medical clinic on the compound where our medical teams can treat the physical needs, including eye and dental care of the Haitian people.

We regularly host Haitian conferences, with up to 300 people attending at a time, who we are able to house overnight and serve meals to. With our Haitian dorms we host annual conferences for women, children, pastors and schoolteachers.

We have an onsite nursery and garden that serves as a demonstration-training garden where we can provide agriculture-training seminars. We also have an onsite aquaponics project.

HEF has a storage warehouse where we store food for our ongoing school-feeding program. We are very grateful to have our compound, which enables us a base to launch our projects from. It provides a stable infrastructure of secure lodging, fresh water, solar power, supplies and transportation for our short-term teams.
